Designing better ways to teach complex ideas

I combine instructional design, health communication, engineering, and visual design to transform complex scientific and professional knowledge into clear, engaging learning experiences.

My work spans digital education, professional learning, CME/CPD, educational platforms, and scientific and technical communication.

Where science, communication and design meet

My career has never fitted neatly into one discipline—and that has become one of its greatest strengths.

I began as an engineer and scientist, working across technology and biomedical engineering, before expanding into psychology, healthcare, communication, and instructional design.

Today, I bring those disciplines together to help experts and organizations teach complex subjects more effectively.

I am particularly interested in the space between expertise and understanding: how we structure information, explain difficult concepts, design learning experiences, and use technology and visual communication to make knowledge more accessible and useful.

How I work

  • Instructional Design & E-Learning

Learning experiences can turn subject-matter expertise into structured, engaging education.

My work includes online courses, professional education, CME/CPD programs, learning pathways, assessments, educational resources, and complete digital learning experiences.

  • Health & Technical Communication

Complex information is only useful when people can understand it.

Drawing on my background in science, engineering, psychology and health communication, I translate technical and scientific information into clear, audience-centered communication.

  • Digital & Visual Design

Good education depends on more than good content.

I combine instructional design with graphic design, multimedia, web development and learning technology to create cohesive educational experiences—from individual learning materials to complete online education platforms.

I learn for a living

And, in many ways, I always have.

I've been learning through computers since I was seven years old. That curiosity has taken me from the early internet to engineering, research, healthcare, design, communication — and more online courses than I could possibly count.

For years, those interests seemed unrelated.

Eventually, I realized they had something important in common: I love learning complex things and finding better ways to explain them.

Today, that's what I do for a living.

Healthcare Craft

Digital education, crafted for healthcare.

Healthcare Craft is my instructional design and digital education practice for healthcare professionals, educators and organizations.

I help clients transform their expertise into effective learning experiences—from individual courses and CME/CPD education to educational websites and complete online learning platforms.

My approach brings together instructional design, health communication, visual design and technology, allowing the educational strategy and the experience that delivers it to be designed together.
